The interview turned out to be quite productive since I am legally suitable to work with children and I do not have any unspent conviction and never committed any offence. I told them that I worked with children in primary and secondary education and that the star-based scheme that I had implemented in Ecuador worked quite well because I managed to keep them under control by giving them a reward in exchange of their good behaviour. Furthermore, I told them that primary children are normally quite easy to blackmail so that you can get them to make the most of them by rewarding them in exchange.
The very first question was the one why I decided to study a CELTA course, which is by far one of my most remarkable qualifications, and I explained to them that I decided to study this course because it opened me doors to work around the world and all over the world due to its worldwide recognition. The second one was about my gaps in unemployment; the first one was because I was studying my second MA in Secondary Education Teaching and the second one was because I have a twofold CV; one for English teaching positions and the other one for the Spanish ones so I spent one year in the UK teaching Spanish but for after school lessons and doing some covers.
They kept on with what type of activities I would prepare if we were studying the theme of water and well, I do not remember the second one, but I explained to them that a good example of activity would be to design or describe what their ideal example of 'river' would be like so that they could use some useful vocabulary items such as 'deep' or 'shallow' to refer to the depth of the river as such and similar.
The final questions were on safeguarding and I provided accurate and concise answers regarding how to avoid cyberbullying on the Internet and the prohibition that teachers have about not sharing personal data or adding them as friends on social networks.
In the end, the interview was successful.
