- La radicalización se produce por la "asociación diferencial", depende de 2 factores:
. contacto con agentes radicalizadores (importancia de la ideología)
. lazos sociales preexistentes con otros sujetos radicalizados (importancia de lazos comunitarios en el día a día)

Perfil del detenido:
- Hombres de entre 18 y 35 años. Más habitual que estén casados. Nacionalidades: marroquíes y "españoles".
- La mitad son moros de 2ª generación y el 40% son de 1ª. 10% conversos.
- Casi la mitad sin trabajo ni ocupación conocida. 25% con grado en sector servicios. Otro 25% aprox. tenía antecedentes penales.
- Radicalización comenzada en 2011-2012 (guerras en Siria y Mali).
- 9 de cada 10 radicalizados mientras estaban en España: Barcelona, Ceuta, Madrid y Melilla.

















En casi siete de cada 10 casos (Tabla 7) se encontraron vínculos sociales preexistentes entre detenidos y otras personas detenidas en España por actividades relacionadas con el terrorismo o que se convirtieron en FTF durante el período de cuatro años de estudio.



Más de ocho de cada diez individuos con vínculos sociales preexistentes se radicalizaron en un entorno mixto online/offline o en un contexto exclusivamente offline (Tabla 8).







El contacto con un agente radicalizante yihadista, como un activista, una autoridad religiosa o un familiar, se observó en el 86,9% de los casos en los que se disponía de información.

Los vínculos sociales, que se formaron mucho antes de la iniciación de la radicalización y normalmente desde dentro de un barrio o mediante relaciones más íntimas de amistad y parentesco, fueron detectados en el 68,7% de los detenidos de los que existe información relevante.

La evaluación empírica de los autores sobre esos individuos durante un período de cuatro años, en medio de una ola sin precedentes de terrorismo yihadista en Europa occidental, indica que la radicalización violenta que conduce a la participación del terrorismo yihadista es altamente contingente a estos dos factores de asociación diferencial.

A woman has been arrested at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of terrorism offences.

Officers from the Met's Counter Terrorism Command (SO15) have this evening, Thursday, 29 June, arrested a 21-year-old woman at Heathrow Airport as she disembarked a flight from Istanbul, Turkey.

The woman, from north London, was arrested at 21:02hrs on suspicion of preparation of acts of terrorism under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.

She has been taken to a south London police station where she is being detained under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE).

Searches have been conducted at two north London addresses.

The arrest is Syria-related.

Una familia gitana okupa la casa de Carmen, una mujer ciega de 66 años

La sobrina de Carmen, una mujer invidente de 66 años cuya casa ha sido ‘okupada’, ha visitado el plató de El Gato Al Agua para relatar toda la drámatica situación por la que está atravesando su familia manteniendo su anonimato.

La periodista Patrizia Tenorio ha ido hasta el fondo de la cuestión y no sólo ha entrevistado al familiar de la afectada sino que también ha conseguido hablar con una de las okupas por el telefonillo. Dice que está embarazada y que tiene un contrato de la persona que le consiguió la casa aprovechando que Carmen se encontraba en el domicilio de otro familiar.

El Gato al Agua también ha conseguido las declaraciones de otros okupas gracias a una cámara oculta. En esta ocasión, él dice que vive con un primo que ha sido quien le ha conseguido la vivienda.

The Betrayed Girls: chilling BBC documentary explains how the real-life victims of the Rochdale grooming gang were failed by authorities

Hard-hitting BBC drama Three Girls – starring Maxine Peake – gripped the nation with its portrayal of the horrific attacks mounted on a trio of victims earlier this year.

And tonight, a new feature-length documentary will give further insight into the failings of police and other official bodies to initially tackle the large-scale sexual abuse of the victims of a horrific grooming gang in Rochdale.

BBC documentary The Betrayed Girls will tell the story of the real-life battle to get justice for the young girls who were abused by a gang of Asian men over a number of years (thought to date back to as early as 2003).

It features the harrowing testimony of victims whose stories have not been told before and includes interviews with Sara Rowbotham, manager of the Rochdale Crisis Intervention Team who blew the whistle on the scandal, former Detective Constable Maggie Oliver and Chief Prosecutor Nazir Afzal.



The 90-minute documentary addresses not only the events in Three Girls, but shines a wider light on the horrific child abuse revelations in Rochdale and other towns.

The film reveals how it wasn't just the professionals whose job it was to protect the girls who ignored their plight, but how many others did as well.

The testimony of sexual health worker Sara Rowbotham - played by Maxine Peake in Three Girls - is particularly hard to watch.

She tells how her warnings were ignored by police and social services on over 180 separate occasions.

But most harrowing to watch are the statements of the real-life victims - voiced by actors in the programme.

They describe what it’s like to be a victim of sexual abuse and then feel abused again by a faulty system.

As one victim explains: "From the age of 12 I moved from care home to care home. You never actually got any love.

"Life was just crap all the time. […] At first [the abusers] were my friends, I could actually talk to them, and they wouldn’t judge me."

The Betrayed Girls: HORROR as Rochdale victim reveals ‘I was raped with razor to throat'

The unnamed girl, who was among the helpless teenagers who were raped as part of the notoriously merciless sex ring, went into gruesome details of the ordeal in tonight’s BBC documentary.

“I was in a house in Rochdale and I was drunk,” she said. “There was a lock on the door and they locked it. They were laughing at me because I was throwing up over the side of the bed.

“There was a guy with a razor blade who came up to me and said, ‘I’m going to cut you. Do you want me to cut you?’ and another guy said, ‘Just lay down’ and I did.

“I was crying because I was being sick and I hate being sick,” she added.

“The guy with the razor blade kept coming up to me and holding it to my throat, telling me he was going to slit my throat. He was laughing.

“One of them pulled my trousers down while I was being sick and inserted himself while the guy with the razor blade had it up to my throat.

“The other guy was stood watching and he said to the guy with the razor blade, ‘just hold it there’ and he kept trying to put himself in my mouth’.

“The whole time I had the guy at the bottom of the bed raping me. I actually thought I was going to get my throat slit.”

Viewers were mortified by the gruesome account, and drowned Twitter with posts of heartbreak, despair and rage.

“I’m at a loss for words,” sobbed one audience member, as another agreed: “Listening to these girls testimony is heartbreaking, to think some of these animals are back on the street is sickening #thebetrayedgirls.”

A third cried: “#TheBetrayedGirls no words just absolute shock disgust and utter anger.”

“#TheBetrayedGirls Cannot believe what I'm seeing, hearing or feeling right now watching this,” gasped one more, which was followed by: “Harrowing first person testimony from the girls involved in the Rochdale & other child abuse cases.”

In 2012, nine men, including ring leader Shabir Ahmed, were convicted of a string of gross offences including rape and jailed for up to 22 years.

However, Former Detective Constable Margaret Oliver - who revealed her operation into the grooming ring was shelved during the documentary - confirmed today that just two of them still remain in police custody.
